PDF → text / Word
Open a PDF and save its text as .txt or .docx. Everything runs in your browser; for scans, run OCR first.
How it works
- Open the PDF you want to pull text from.
- Choose a format: a text file (.txt) or a Word document (.docx).
- Save the file — it will contain the text of every page.
Frequently asked questions
Is formatting preserved in Word?
The text layer is extracted with line and page breaks. Complex layout, columns and tables are not carried over — it's a simple text export.
Text isn't extracted from a scanned PDF — why?
Scans have no text layer, only images. Run the OCR tool first to recognize the text, then extract it.
